In August 1976 workers — mostly South Asian migrant women — walked out of the Grunwick film processing plant in Willesden, demanding dignity, decent working conditions and the right to a union. Led by the remarkable Jayaben Desai, their 670-day strike drew mass pickets and solidarity from across the entire labour movement. Told through original footage and interviews with the strikers themselves, this is their story.
